Mother's Day with Hotel Chocolat

As a well-known chocoholic it was very difficult to resist a box of chocolates when an email landed in my inbox from Hotel Chocolat.

I chose the All About Mum selection which is 26 gorgeously decorated luxury chocolates in a beautiful box.

When I eat chocolate it's usually a bar of something ordinary and wolfed down so quickly that I don't savour it so I was rather excited to try out all the different flavours in the All About Mum selection.

'Created especially for Mums to enjoy with their feet up..' it states on the box and that's what I did. I don't need telling twice!

There's something to please everyone. From the Mother of Pearl (An oyster shell filled with hazelnut praline), Cherry Bombe (Zingy cherry puree truffle in white chocolate) and Raspberry Rapture (Creamy white chocolate truffle with tangy raspberry) to the chocolates with a bit of a kick eg. the Bison Grass Vodka (Vodka with subtle herby notes in milk chocolate truffle) and Buck's Fizz (light and creamy truffle with a splash of champagne and a dash of zesty orange juice) you won't fail to please the recipient of this box. It'll be difficult to choose a favourite.

These were delicious and I've been finding an excuse to put my feet up and enjoy a couple of chocolates when the children have gone to bed. If only I could do that every single night......
