I dare them to say they are bored!

The children are off school for over two weeks, the weather has been lovely lately and we have lots planned for the forthcoming fortnight!

I always worry about occupying three children of different ages for any length of time but at this time of year it's so much easier to find things to do outside.

We plan to visit some of our local parks, some of which we've not visited yet so we're looking forward to discovering new ones, and if it's warm enough we hope to enjoy some al fresco dining and we also hope to take a trip to some of the wonderful Norfolk beaches we've been hearing about. We'll no doubt have a few bike rides, although I'm hoping not the 10 miles we usually do!

The hours after school are so hectic, especially when I'm working, so we have a few playdates arranged. Holidays can be so costly so I love these for cheap fun for all the children!

intuChapelfield is hosting an elephant parade from April 7th for 4 weeks. 30 large painted elephants (painted by famous artists and celebrities) will be accompanied by 7 smaller ones painted by selected schools in Norfolk. After following the Gorilla trail in Norwich and the Giraffes in Colchester the children are really looking forward to following the Eye Spy Elephant Trail and perhaps taking part in some of the craft activities.

Charlie and Molly will be meeting up with some of his school friends to go to Quasar in Norwich and Nerf Wars at SESMA. They've never been to Quasar and I don't think they know what to expect! They went to a Nerf Wars session in October and had a great time so I knew they'd want to sign up for another session.

Ever since we moved to Norwich we've been hearing lots of great things about Dinosaur Adventure which is just up the road from us in Lenwade. A big percentage of Charlie's classmates hold season tickets and spend many an afternoon there after school and most weekends. Before we splash out on yearly passes (£240 for me & the children!!) we thought we'd take a trip courtesy of Tesco clubcard vouchers to see if we enjoyed it enough to start saving hard for passes.

Another place we're excited to be close to is BeWILDerwood-The Treehouse Adventure. We had hoped to visit during the February half-term but the weather was atrocious and as much as I love the outdoors I don't think I could've coped with that much mud!

During the holidays the children get to chance to meet the Easter Bunny at the Bouncing Boggle Bunny Egg Hunt and there are lots of other fab Easter themed activities taking place.

'Follow a bunny themed trail, bound down the bunny tunnel and meet Cedric in the Big Egg.  Bounce your way out through the hippity hop with a little Easter gift and settle down to hear the tales of Cedric and his friends at the story-telling stage. Visit the Big Hat and make your own ever-so-bonny Boggle bunny outfit. Get your face decorated with a pink or black nose and some wonderfully wiggly whiskers.'

Tom Blofeld, author of the range of BeWILDerwood books,is launching a new one for Easter 'The Pesky Bunnies of BeWILDerwood' and I'll be running a competition soon for one lucky reader to win a series of BeWILDerwood books, including the new one.

After all of that I'll be asking for some overtime at work so that I can rest! ;-)

What do you have planned for the school holidays?
