GoGoDragons!

GoGoDragons! is a sculpture trail in Norwich with 84 large dragon sculptures and 120 smaller school dragons. Once the trail has finished the dragons will be auctioned off and the proceeds will fund the valuable work of Norfolk charity Break who support vulnerable children, young people and families across East Anglia.

The dragon sculptures are in and around the city and the trail began on 21st June and runs until 5th September. So far we've had 3 dedicated trips to follow the dragon trail and have whittled the 84 large dragons down to 25 left to find.

Over the last few years we've followed the Giraffe trail in Colchester and GoGo Gorillas and Elephants in Norwich and we love these trails because
  • they get us outdoors and exercising. You can plan your journey and walk as much or as little as you want. According to my pedometer we did just under 5 miles today. The children are out in the fresh air and because they're busy looking for dragons they're not aware of how far they've walk
  • it's a free activity-so few of those around these day!
  • we often end up finding areas of the city that we've never discovered before and it gets the children appreciating their surroundings and the gorgeous city we're lucky enough to live so close to.

It's very difficult to have a favourite as they're all decorated so beautifully but my top 3 are currently GoGoMosaic, Cavell and Knickerbocker Gloria.

Below are a selection of some of the dragons we've found…..so far! We hope to have seen all 84 by the end of the summer.

Do you have a favourite?
