Festive craft with Yellow Moon

Every time the postman knocks on the door with a package from Yellow Moon I have two very excited children eager to rip open the box!

This time we were sent a festive bundle of goodies;

4 mini tinsel garlands

A3 coloured sugar paper

Red, white and green paint

Christmas foam paint rollers

Metallic gold & silver tissue paper

6 rolls of coloured cellophane

To this we added some of the glitter, card and paper from our last Yellow Moon review package.

Charlie's first activity was to make a stained glass window using the A3 paper and cellophane. I was expecting him to do a Christmas tree but he wanted to do a spider! It looks really effective and so colourful.

Using card and paper, tissue paper,  mini tinsel garlands, cellophane and some stickers from our own craft box the children created some Christmas cards for their teachers.

The childrens' school disco is later this week and I asked them to make some posters for their classroom windows. For this they decided to use the rollers. They had a little trouble getting an even print and had to practise a few times on scrap paper to get the amount of paint right but I believe that with more practise the borders will look brilliant.

I'm not the greatest at wrapping presents even when they've got straight edges so when Molly and Charlie chose round tins for their teachers' presents I panicked but we wrapped them using a sheet of tissue paper, some cellophane and the mini tinsel garland. I think they look so much better than if I had tried to use wrapping paper :-)

Molly wanted to make some glittery baubles and rather than have glitter everywhere we wrapped the baubles in cellophane and tied them up a little tinsel garland. Charlie decided to cut little pieces of tinsel up for his baubles. We're not having a traditional tree this year as we have a destructive toddler in the house so I hung the baubles on the window and look great.

*We were not paid for this post. We were sent the craft products by Yellow Moon to use and review. All opinion is honest and based upon our own experiences.
