The app is available for Apple devices at £2.99 and is aimed at preschool children. It includes free play, structured play and a hidden scheduler for parents to set a timer and message from Woolly for activities to be undertaken e.g. getting dressed or brushing teeth.
Unfortunately for us the scheduler didn't work so I cannot rate that section of the app. The developers came back to me with this response with regards to the scheduler problems: "Unfortunately these kinds of issues (scheduler not showing & crashing) are specific to what type of device is being used. Even more annoyingly, they can be down to that specific person's device and what other apps may be running on it at the time. We attempt to replicate this during testing, and haven't seen these issues, but inevitably different people use their devices in different ways so unexpected things may arise"
Until the Woolly app was downloaded we'd had no problems with our iPad or any apps previously downloaded so it's a big shame that there's a conflict somewhere along the line and this now leaves us with only half a working app which makes it difficult to fully review or recommend. As the developers cannot control which devices may cause the conflict or advise on how to solve this problem I personally feel uneasy about recommending spending money on an app that may not work. Having said that, it does have potential if there was a way of getting over the scheduler issues.
*This review is honest and based upon our own personal experiences. We were reimbursed for the cost of the app and supplied with a Woolly & Tig goody bag.
