From SAHM to Working Mum

A little over 3 years ago I wrote a post about life as a SAHM for Mums That Work. You can read it here. 

12 months later, after a really bad day with the children, I went over it to remind me of the positives of being a full time Mum and although I was hunting for work at that time (for myself rather than for the wage) I never found anything suitable and believed we were financially stable enough to cope without a second wage for a few more years, until Harry was at school.

Tonight I start work for the first time in nearly 10 years as our financial situation has drastically changed the way we live and I HAD to get a job.

On one hand I'm looking forward to it but I'm also aware that for all the bad days I had I did enjoy being around whenever the children needed me and being able to enjoy the school holidays together.

I was a little jealous of working Mums, I have to admit, so after a few weeks in work I wonder if I'll be so envious of them!!
