Mmmmm, doughnuts!

No, I haven't turned into Homer Simpson, although my ever-expanding waistline would tell you otherwise!  

I was asked if we'd like to try a box of gourmet doughnuts from Jam Gou Dou and I knew that the children would never forgive me if I said "No" (as if I would have!!)

The next day this fab-looking box arrived by courier and we couldn't wait to get it open. Inside were twelve wonderful handmade chocolate doughnuts. We were sent delights such as; Double Trouble - A generous layer of chocolate sprinkles atop a smothering of special recipe Belgium chocolate ganache, Chilli Con Chocolate - Chocolate with subtly spicy chilli flakes & cayenne pepper, and the amazing Smorz  - Crisp chocolate topped with melted marshmallow and scorched to perfection.

Perfect for a chocoholic

It was a tough decision but I went for Double Trouble. It didn't disappoint. The children tucked in to theirs and didn't leave a crumb. It didn't take many days for the doughnuts to mysteriously disappear! I did manage to sneak a small piece of a Smorz doughnut though and I really loved the melted marshmallow topping. I think it was Harry's favourite as he asked for more.

I asked the children to describe the doughnuts: Harry rubbed his tummy and said that they were "lishious", Molly described them as "epic, scrumptious and gooey" and Charlie thinks they were 'awesome and yummy'. I don't think I need to add anything to that!

The boxes of 12 doughnuts are great for a gift, guaranteed to be a winner in the office on cake day or would even make a lovely treat for yourself! With free delivery the only thing holding you back is deciding which box to go for.
