I'm determined to lose weight and get fit(ter) this year so I've been making more of an effort to get off the sofa in the evenings. Tonight I ached as I finally sat down and I was shattered but I put on my trusty walking boots, wrapped up warm and went for a stroll.
My hip and knee hurt more and more as I walked but mentally I felt so much better for getting out in the fresh air and it was rather refreshing.
It's never going to make me fit enough to run a marathon (apart from the fact that I have hip dysplasia I can barely walk somedays let alone run!) but it's a big improvement for me as I'm usually such a couch potato.
