Project 366 1st-9th May 2016

I booked myself into a hotel in the city (long story) and this was the view from my room. Not the most scenic of views but a night away on my own was much needed and it was pure bliss!

After a brief wander through the city I headed home, past one of my favourite landmarks of Norwich.

I spent the day in Suffolk visiting family while the children were at school. Driving was painful so I stopped off in Beccles to stretch my legs. Despite growing up nearby, and going to school in Beccles, I never spent any time along this part of the river. I'll definitely be heading back.

Back at work. I never thought I'd enjoy gardening as part of my job!

As I have previously said, our garden is rather dull, but I spotted this in the corner coming from a neighbours garden. Normally having neighbours shrubs and trees encroaching on our land irritates me but I'm quite happy to have this to look at!

With Harry spending 4 days a week at the SRB unit we've been making an extra effort to organise playdates when he's at his 'home' school. As it was such a lovely day we took a ball to the local park and they burned off their excess energy.

Harry had his first full eye test today. He was really patient and was brilliant. His eyes aren't perfect but they're acceptable….unlike Molly's. She has been prescribed glasses for the first time as her eyesight has deteriorated rather quickly, just like mine did. She was quite pleased that she needs glasses whereas I hated it as a child. Probably because the frames back then were hideous!

After a horrible and exhausting day I took myself outside into the garden as soon as the children went to bed and I spent a peaceful and relaxing hour reading my magazine. Bliss…….

N's garden is transforming so quickly that there's something new every time I go to work.
