Gee Whizz magic set from Drumond Park **review and competition**

The UK's Top Three best-selling magic sets are all from Drumond Park and we were lucky enough to be chosen to review one of them.

Gee Whizz ( for children age 5+) is full of magical tricks and illusions for youngsters to dazzle their family and friends with. Each trick is made with tiny hands in mind and is easy to perform. Clear step by step illustrated instructions are included. A little help may be needed at the start but Harry soon got the hang of each one.

All the components are sturdy and well-made and this is a fantastic magic kit for little ones. Charlie & Hubby have had a number of magic sets over the years but everything has been way beyond Harry's capabilities so it's great to see one with youngsters in mind. It's the perfect introduction to magic.

Just a normal wand. Bang it in the pot and....

.....ta-dah!

Which is the biggest? A fab optical illusion that has confused the children!

Rainbow glasses.

I had a play with the set before the children arrived home from school and was able to stun them into silence with the tricks. It was great fun!

Pull the rope through the box, split it in two but it still moves. Amazing!

You can make a parrot appear to fly from one cage to another, change the colour of a string through and ancient coin, magically 'grow' flowers, cut a rope and repair it within seconds, change the colour of a dice as you push it through a tunnel and much, much more.

The dice goes in green and comes out purple. That's magic!

The parrot is in the cage then in the blink of an eye and with some magical words it disappears and flies into another cage.

Harry regularly gets the set out and has had hours of fun. His favourite trick is the instant flowers one as it's so easy to perform but really effective. Mine is the parrot trick, especially as it took the others ages to figure out!

The rrp for Gee Whizz is £19.99. Take a look at the other best-selling sets for older children The Box of Shocks and Gross Magic  both suitable for age 8+ and perfect for Halloween trickery.
