As a belated birthday treat for Mum the boys wanted to take her to Fakenham Fairways pitch & putt. It was a lovely sunny day and the children all scored really well. I kept score and kept cool in the shade!
Molly was a really brave girl in hospital on Friday evening and coped fantastically with hours and hours of tests-even though we left without a diagnosis and my Mum's partner treated her to a tub of her favourite ice cream.
On Friday Harry brought home a bag full of stuff from Year 1 and I finally got round to sorting it on Tuesday. I found this comical photo of him which had been used as his class photo for the PATH child board. He hates looking straight at the camera!
Harry's taxi was 40 minutes late and the poor lad was getting bored of waiting so he started counting the holes created by slugs in my plants. It beats counting sheep!
I'd had a horrible few days so on a day off I grabbed a book and took myself off to sit on Cromer beach and enjoy some me-time. I read a few pages and then spent the rest of my time people watching as there was so much going on. It was a much-needed relaxing trip.
I saw these in the greengrocers in Cromer and couldn't resist buying them for myself. Flowers always cheer me up and this bunch are so colourful.
The children have discovered a love of my baking...finally! It's great, but it does mean hours in the kitchen at the weekend preparing for packed lunches.
Up at 6am on Sunday to flog some stuff and make a bit of cash back after the summer holiday made my bank account look rather poorly. It was quite quiet, despite being a warm dry day, but we managed to get rid of a few bits and made a little bit of money.
One of our Spree vouchers was for a BOGOF at Highball Climbing Centre so after school on Monday the eldest two went along for a session. Charlie had never been climbing before but he did amazingly well. I was stunned at how quickly he was climbing the walls and we've started calling him Spiderman!
Mum and I had a day browsing secondhand shops & charity shops today. I got into the city early so that I could meet her at the train station and walk her back to Magdalen Street via the riverside as she'd never been that way. This is Pulls Ferry, one of the most famous of Norwich's landmarks. We stood watching the beautiful swans through the archway for a while.
