Project 366 21st-30th September 2016

I can't believe that September has been and gone already. It doesn't seem that long ago that we were planning days out at the beach and wondering how we'd fill 6 weeks of school holiday. Blink and you miss it!

I often find it harder to keep up with my 366 project once the children are back at school as my days are then filled with work, chores and getting the children organised with packed lunches and homework. It's why my photos for this post are a bit repetitive with lots of autumnal sun. Having said that, there have been some amazing sunrises and sunsets lately.

We spent the day at National Trust Felbrigg Hall on Saturday and it was a beautifully warm day. It was only our second visit and last time we only wandered around the walled garden so we made the most of the weather and walked to the church and lake before heading into the house after a picnic lunch. There were some lovely views of the hall from the walk around the parkland.

Sunday is now spent baking for the childrens' packed lunches. I'm not a great baker ut they love my banana bread and fruit scones.

The garden at work has been hit by loads of pesky bugs and viruses this summer but the apple tree is doing amazingly well. I'm hoping I get to bring a few home soon to make apple pie!

After years of putting up with pain from hip dysplasia I finally gave in earlier this year and went to the doctor's for help. After an x-ray which showed significant deterioration in my hip I had a hospital appointment on Tuesday. They have put me on the list for a hip reconstruction/replacement in the New Year. It was my only option and I need something done as my life has been affected negatively for so long....but I'm petrified!

After an impromptu trip to the swimming pool in Dereham after school we came out to the sunset, which Charlie said was beautiful so I needed to take a picture for my photo of the day. I love that they get so involved in my projects.

Harry had one of his friends around after school and I took them to Base Extreme as it's much easier than trying to cram 4 children into our small house. We had a couple of Spree vouchers to use up so it only cost £12 for the 4 of them to play on all of the activities as much as they wanted. I was able to sit and catch up on my book while they had fun and then I treated them all to a Mcdonald's on the way home. It was a lovely way to end the week, especially as I'd had a bloody awful day because a woman hit my car in the village hall car park and caused damage all the way along the drivers side and I then had to spend all day on the phone sorting out the insurance claim.

  1. Looks like a fun day. It's a shame don't live closer so could take my lot.
