Molly (13) is taking over the blog today with a review of the Ravensburger Leaning Tower of Pisa 3D puzzle.
My brother often gets to make the 3D puzzles so I got in first with the Leaning Tower of Pisa!
It's similar to other 3D puzzles we've had before but this one is the night time edition and it lights up. You can have it on a white light or subtly changing colours.
The puzzle comes with easy instructions and is suitable for age 10 plus. There are 216 interlocking numbered plastic pieces.
I started by laying a few pieces out in numerical order to save a bit of time. If you want to challenge yourself you can do the puzzle by looking at the front of the pieces instead of the numbers on the back.
You place the first row of pieces into the base and build it up from there. It was easy to make and didn't take me long to complete. When finished it measures approximately 33cm tall.
Once the tower is built you add the plastic topper, put 3 AA batteries into the light unit and pop that into the main base before adding the tower.
To switch the lights on or off you just gently lift the tower to access the light unit.
I really enjoyed making this and it looks great in the dark! It would make a great Christmas/birthday present for anyone who loves puzzles.
Ravensburger make a wide range of 3D puzzles of famous landmarks from around the world and the night editions also available are;
Big Ben
Eiffel Tower
Chrysler Building
Lighthouse
Empire State Building
Statue of Liberty
