Callisto A3 Laminator review

I have fallen in love with a piece of office equipment. Ever since we received the Callisto laminator from Fellowes I have been laminating everything in sight! The children are equally impressed with it.

When I was first asked if we would like to try out a laminator I ummed and ahhed because I honestly didn't think we'd find any use for it in our house. Clearly, I was wrong.

We've laminated the children's project work and drawings and they've been getting some great comments from their teachers.

Last week they made some firework pictures with glitter *shudder* but the problem of glitter constantly  falling off the paper was solved by laminating their pictures. It worked a treat.

I've laminated recipe sheets. They were in plastic pockets, which worked well for a while but after so much wiping down they crinkle and there is still a risk of the paper getting wet or dirty. Once laminated the problem is solved. Simply wipe them clean.

The PTA that I'm secretary of is after a fundraising thermometer sign to place in the playground so while I was sourcing quotes for a permanent display I printed an A4 one off the internet, laminated it and hey presto a sign that can easily be updated and reused!

I'm also running a treasure hunt at the Christmas Fair so printed the necessary pictures off and laminated them so that they last longer when manhandled. I'll also print out and laminate the signs for the stalls, giving them a more professional look.

Sadly my photos just don't do the laminator justice.

The possibilities are endless.

Now the *slightly* technical stuff....

There are markings to guide the sheet through and it's so easy to use.

It initially takes just a few minutes to warm up and HotSwap means you can easily swap between pouch thicknesses.

Sleep mode is activated after a period of inactivity, saving you energy consumption.

HeatGuard™  technology ensures that it's always safe to touch- very handy with three children around.

Laminates up to 125microns pouches.

Reverse mechanism for retrieving and re-aligning misaligned documents

As you can tell, it was a big hit in our house and we highly recommend it! It's light and easy to move around and so simple to use. I was surprised at how reasonably priced the pouches are.
