Yellow Moon Craft Materials Review

With our latest bundle of goodies from Yellow Moon we were able to make some fab autumnal crafts.

We were sent;

 Pack of 4 Woodland Colour In Mobiles
100 sheet Winter A4 Card and Paper pack
Cupcake Foam Glitter Stickers
Pack of 3 3D Foam Rockets
Set of 6 Glitter Shakers
2 packs of Fibre Tip Pens

The immediate favourites were the bundle of winter paper and card which had a huge range of colours; browns, blues, purple, green, red, yellow, black, silver and gold etc and Molly couldn't wait to use the glitter shakers. Glitter tends to be a big no-no in our house as I hate the mess but with the shakers having 3 settings they were easier to control and less glitter was wasted and therefore less glitter on my floor!

During the half term break we had lots of fun during a crafty day. We'd previously gone out to collect some leaves to use and dried them out in preparation. It's become a tradition to collect and use leaves in our craft sessions over autumn.

Charlie started off by colouring in his Woodland Mobile and as soon as he'd finished he raced upstairs to put it on his bedroom door. It was an easy craft and all he needed help with was tying the knots.

Molly made lovely fireworks pictures using the glitter and black card.

After that they made the foam rockets. They looked really good when finished but as with all foam crafts that we've had in the past we find they need really strong glue for the pieces to stick together. Charlie wished we'd had them a few months ago when he was studying space and astronauts but is still keen to show them off at school. The instructions are really easy to follow (although Molly & Charlie decided to ignore the decoration instructions and decorate in their own way) and the children didn't need any help in making these.

Then the leaves came out and the children had great fun creating some autumnal pictures. We had hedgehogs, a bonfire and some trees.

oh.....and a new take on JLS! ;-)

then Molly created a Christmas card and also a birthday card using the cupcake stickers

even Harry joined in with the crafts which is unusual for him....

All in all the children had a great time with what Yellow Moon sent to us.  The possibilities are endless with craft materials like these, especially the card & paper pack and they can't wait to get the box out again when we have time.
