4M Cool Colour Wristlets Kit *review*

Like a lot of girls her age Molly loves jewellery, particularly pieces she has made herself, so when we were offered a girl's craft set from Great Gizmos 4M range I knew she'd be keen.

We were sent the Cool Colour Wristlets kit which is a set of 4 vivid knotted bracelets to make.

Everything for the bracelets is supplied except for sticky tape, a tape measure and scissors.

The instructions looked simple enough, with accompanying illustrations, but after half a dozen attempts of trying to get the first knot to look like the one in the picture me & Molly gave up for the night!

I returned to the kit the next day when it was quieter and after a few more attempts I finally figured out what we had been doing wrong. After that we were soon into a rhythm of tying knots on alternate sides of the bracelet and we quickly finished.

We did make one mistake during the middle of the bracelet, where the cord got twisted and has left the bracelet twisted but Molly likes it despite that.

Attaching the jump ring at the end was a little fiddly so I highly recommend using small pliers if you have some.

Molly was really pleased with the end result and is looking forward to making the rest to give to her friends. Although aimed at 8years+ I do think there is quite a lot of adult help involved but for me & Molly it was an enjoyable time spent together making jewellery.
