I'd spent all morning at work and it was too much of a beautiful day to be indoors so when I got home I suggested to the children that we go for a short bike ride. I expected it to be short because Harry wanted to take his balance bike so it would be a slow, torturous journey with the other two children wanting to give up and go home!
After about 1/2 a mile Harry gave up and climbed into the seat on the back of my bike and hubby took the balance bike precariously balanced on his handlebars.

It was a lovely journey and very warm. I was so glad I decided against taking a jumper! We cycled and cycled until we ended up in Lenwade. It seemed like such an easy ride, until I realised that we had cycled about 5 miles…..which meant another 5 miles to get home.
We stopped numerous times to rest and at one point I didn't think I would be able to carry on (yes I'm *that* unfit!) but we managed it. I have never been so pleased to see the graffitied walls of the skate park near the house!

We all came home and collapsed on the sofa but we had a great time, with lots of fresh air and free exercise!
