Cycling Marriotts Way….again!

I'd spent all morning at work and it was too much of a beautiful day to be indoors so when I got home I suggested to the children that we go for a short bike ride. I expected it to be short because Harry wanted to take his balance bike so it would be a slow, torturous journey with the other two children wanting to give up and go home!

After about 1/2 a mile Harry gave up and climbed into the seat on the back of my bike and hubby took the balance bike precariously balanced on his handlebars.

Left or right Mum?

Checking out wildlife and local history information

Harry loved seeing the horses along the route
It was a lovely journey and very warm. I was so glad I decided against taking a jumper!  We cycled and cycled until we ended up in Lenwade. It seemed like such an easy ride, until I realised that we had cycled about 5 miles…..which meant another 5 miles to get home.

We stopped numerous times to rest and at one point I didn't think I would be able to carry on (yes I'm *that* unfit!) but we managed it. I have never been so pleased to see the graffitied walls of the skate park near the house!
The girls took a much needed rest on the way home while Dad and Charlie are tiny dots in the distance!

Sitting on the back of Mum's bike is just so tiring!

We all came home and collapsed on the sofa but we had a great time, with lots of fresh air and free exercise!
