Tooth Fairy Troubles

As I sat here replying to Molly's letter to the Tooth Fairy it took me back to my childhood. I stopped believing in the Tooth Fairy and Santa when I was 5 or 6. As for the Easter Bunny, it never existed at all as far as I was concerned.

I always thought that I was switched on and rather cool for sussing out my parents' 'lies' so young and I did worry that at nearly ten years old Molly still believes in all of the above but actually I feel more sad about the magic having disappeared from my childhood so early.

It's great to see the childrens' excitement when they receive something from the Tooth Fairy and as I hated Christmas from the age of 13 it's wonderful to create a little bit of mystery and to see their faces on Christmas morning.

Children grow up far too quickly as it is so I'm going to embrace the magic and keep it here for as long as possible, especially as I don't want Molly ruining it for the boys!
