This building caught my eye a few months ago when I first used the car park near Duke Street in Norwich. It's difficult to see from my appallingly shot photo but this building is covered in words - 40, 000 words to be precise.
Back in 2006 artist Rory Macbeth painted his favourite novel, Utopia by Sir Thomas More, onto the old Eastern Electricity building which was due for demolition in 2007. It must have taken ages to work out where each word was to fit. I'm rather pleased to say that 8 years later the building is still standing.
I don't know what I like most about this but it's rather striking. I love finding things like this off the beaten track. I bet there is plenty more to be discovered in Norwich.
I wonder if it will still be standing in another 8 years time…...
