Christmas crafts with Yellow Moon

We recently received a festive parcel of treats from Yellow Moon and the children have had great fun putting them to the test. Christmas is one of our favourite times of year for crafting.

We received the following;

Finger Lights
Christmas Glitter Foam Stickers
Wooden House Boxes
Self-inking Stampers
Merry Christmas Pop Up Cards
Jumbo Paint Pad
Snow Pals Mugs
Santa's Workshop

The 4 pack of finger lights were really popular and they loved switching the living room lights off and pretending to be at a disco!  Charlie also enjoyed making some cool photos with them.

The glitter foam stickers and self-inking stampers were used to decorate a number of items; Christmas cards, gift labels, jars of sweets, gift boxes and more. The stampers created cute and clear images and were easy enough for Harry to use without any mess. The children liked the huge variety of stickers but getting the small pieces out were a little fiddly.

The 3 snow pals mugs were a big hit as there was one for each child in their favourite colour! They're looking forward to having them on the table during Christmas lunch. They'd also make great gifts, filled with sweets  or other small treats.

We've used the jumbo paint pads at toddler group before and I've always thought that they were a great idea. The children love making handprints and the paint pads make it so much easier to do.  Harry made a lovely Christmas tree picture for me using the paint pad, stickers, stampers and lots of buttons!

The small wooden houses, which we haven't got around to using yet, can be decorated with Deco pens, stickers or acrylic paint and have a small space in them to hold little gifts or treats. Charlie has bought a little necklace for his girlfriend so he's going to decorate one and use it as a gift box.

The pack of 2 Santa's Workshop kits were simple to make and contain all you need (apart from a little glue for the chimney). It's what we like about Yellow Moon craft kits. The kit was a combination of foam parts which slotted together and other pieces that were simply stuck on. Molly and Charlie sat with their Aunt & Uncle to make them and I think they adults enjoyed it as much as the children! They now take pride of place on the childrens' windowsills.

These are just a small example of the crafts available on the Yellow Moon website. There's hundreds more ideas to keep your children entertained over the festive season-and beyond- when they're bored of playing with their new toys ;-)
