We spent a lovely couple of hours in Cromer yesterday morning but the weather soon turned as Storm Katie arrived, fortunately for us we'd just got in the car when the rain started!
When we arrived home hubby started cooking a roast dinner so I wondered what me & the children could do so they didn't become bored.
Suncatchers are one of those crafts I've seen numerous times on Pinterest but never got round to doing and I'd been dying to use my Sharpies in a craft activity for some time. We had everything we needed in our craft box and they're really easy to make.
You need:
Black paper/card for the frame
Clear cellophane
Sharpies
Glue
Scissors
The children decided on a shape and I cut out the frames from black paper. I then gave them each a piece of clear cellophane (bigger than the frames) to colour in however they desired with the Sharpies. We found the darker colours worked much better than the pastel shades.
Molly & Charlie made the mistake of using the inner of their frames as a guide for colouring in but it's better to colour an area bigger than you need so that you can stick the cellophane to the back and cut it to size.
When you've finished your design put glue on the back of the frame and add it to the cellophane. Cut around the frame, trimming off any excess cellophane, stick to a window with blue-tac and step back and admire your handiwork!
