20th March: Bird watching at Blickling Hall.
21st: Too cold to be outdoors so it was time for Playdoh (something I don't allow very often as I hate the stuff getting EVERYWHERE!)
22nd: I'm quite sad in that I adore days when I can get the washing on the line. I managed to get 5 loads washed and dry this day. I loved it!
23rd: I went upstairs to put Harry's laundry away and found that he'd tucked in his favourite teddies so that they were warm and comfortable while he was at school.
24th: Easter lunch at school today and Charlie was one of the winners of the Easter quiz organised by the cooks. His winning tie-breaker was 'My favourite school dinner is roast dinner because it's better than my Mum's'. Totally untrue but he thought he was onto a winner ;-)
25th: Harry's Easter trail prize in the Abbey Gardens was bubbles and he had so much fun with them
26th: After a major tantrum Charlie decided to teach his rotten Mum and Dad a lesson by sleeping in the doorway of his bedroom.
27th: We've seen it before but we love watching the crew of the Cromer lifeboat 'Lester' return to the station. Charlie would love to see them launch. Hopefully one day….
28th: Storm Katie cancelled Bank Holiday Monday fun outdoors so we went to the cinema in the morning to see Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Road Chip and then came home to board games in the afternoon. Harry was very patient in between turns and did very well.
29th: Back to Blickling for my 3rd visit in 2 weeks. Even the staff are recognising me! Harry and Charlie chased each other around the garden and just as Charlie got to the other side he slipped in a huge puddle and came up covered in mud. Thankfully he saw the sunny side of it!
30th: My aunt and my cousin's wife came over from Suffolk to visit Dinosaur Adventure and invited us to join them. Little O and his brother hadn't seen us in 7 months but he happily played with my boys. He walked around the park holding Charlie's hand. I was very proud of how good Charlie was with him and made sure he was safe and happy. We're hoping it's not another 7 months before we see them again.
31st: Harry's friend from school came over and we went to Sheringham Park to take part in their Easter trail. They were also running pond dipping sessions so we took a break during the trail to see what we could see. They were really impressed when Charlie found a toad and Molly found a beetle. Harry even attempted to pick the toad up, which was a big achievement for him as he doesn't like any kind of animal that moves quickly.
1st April: For anyone who knows Harry-this t-shirt is perfect. He's my own little Evel Knievel!
2nd: On the warmest day of the year so far…..my daughter decides to wear her thickest (Christmas) jumper….and then wonders why people were giving her funny looks.
