The groupon deal included a trail for the children so it gave them stuff to look out for as I took in the beautiful surroundings.
4 little lions at the entrance

Taking a well-earned rest
After what felt like an eternity we came across the viewpoint again and knew the entrance was close by so we snuck out that way. I bet we're not the only ones! Mazes aren't one of my favourite activities because I'm claustrophobic. I last went in a maze at Leeds Castle many years ago and it didn't end well when it took us far too long to get out.
Are you sure we haven't been this way before??
I could happily sit here for hours
Taking part in pond dipping
The remains of Beeston Priory
Pooh sticks
The children were really excited to see all these tadpoles
There's a cafe and a few picnic benches placed around the garden so it would be easy to spend most of the day there, especially as there's so much to see. The changes in the seasons would bring something new to see with each visit too. The children are looking forward to going back-even Charlie who normally hates this type of place.

What a lovely place to visit and very handy when you have some vouchers to help out. It looks like there was just enough going on for the children to enjoy exploring while the grounds look stunning for any adult. I'm a little like you with mazes, I rather like the ones where you can see over the top of the hedges, I think I would have taken the cheats way out. Beautiful photos, I do hope you get to return and see the gardens again at another time of year, i bet autumn is pretty too. Thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKids
