Project 366 23rd-31st May 2016

Every time I go to work there are new flowers that have bloomed. I love that I get to spend some time gardening as part of my job, especially as my own garden is so low maintenance.

The PTFA at Charlie's school paid for the children to have a CSI day. Charlie loves forensics and playing detective so he was in his element. He couldn't wait to show off his kit!

I found this little beauty hiding behind N's bins.

It's rare that Harry is keen to get his homework done as he's so tired after school but when he does it's lovely to have some quiet time, uninterrupted by the other children, discussing what he is learning.

Harry is currently struggling with Fridays at his home school and is rather unsettled. I believe he'd actually be happier at the SRB unit 5 days a week if it was possible but the social side of attending his home school one day a week is really important. He hasn't enjoyed going in and feels really lost, which is completely understandable, but one of his closest friends chose her golden time to draw a lovely picture for him and it cheered him up no end. I was really touched that she had been so considerate.

As part of the Norfolk & Norwich Festival Charlie's year group were invited to be involved in a puppet  show production based on the true story of 19th century adventurer Mary English. We booked tickets to see the show at Norwich Puppet Theatre on Saturday and Harry was over the moon to see one of his friends from school and they sat together giggling throughout the show.

I would love a garden like this. I could see myself happily sitting here for many hours. This was at Priory Maze and Gardens which we visited for the first time on Sunday. I'm already planning a return visit!

We visited the in-laws on Monday and went for a walk along Felixstowe promenade. We had planned to be there for a few hours and to enjoy chips and ice cream for tea but it was so blustery and chilly we were there for less than an hour!

It was a miserable, cold and wet day so we got our Spree book out and had a free swim at Dereham pool in the morning and after lunch we went to Namco for a cheap game of bowling. Harry came 2nd with a respectable score of 102 and he scored the only strike!
