We've spent many a day at Cromer beach this year and we love walking along the shore at low tide when there is so much to see. Low tide was around lunchtime on Bank Holiday Monday so we stopped off at National Trust Sheringham Park for a couple of hours beforehand. It doesn't cost anything to get in but our NT membership covered us for the £5 car park fee.

We spent quite a while in the Bower where the boys took part in den building and natural art before heading to the pond.
The trees in the park are perfect for climbing.
International Garden Photographer of the Year display in the Bower. These were my favourite, especially the rain one on the bottom left.
The children managed to pick a few blackberries to eat along the way.
A typical cheeky Harry look. As soon as you ask him to look at the camera he looks away!
After an hour of gentle strolling and exploration we went back to the car park for a picnic and then the children spent a short while playing football on the large grassy area before we drove down the road to Cromer.
Starting at the pier we walked along the beach eastwards.
Little and Large ;-)
You've just got to dip your toes in the water.
The children collected piles of seaweed and made this natural art. How cute!
We saw the shipwreck much clearer this time as the tide was out more but there wasn't so much sealife. The children spotted a couple of crabs and some small fish but that was it. Thankfully they're happy just wandering along the shore and being able to splash in the water.
Molly took this photo for me, balancing the camera on a rock, as she wanted a different perspective of the sea.
We walked as far as being parallel with the lighthouse and then sat on the stones, where it was quiet, to have a stone throwing contest aiming at a large stone some distance away. Harry was a brilliant shot and more accurate than I was!
After that we took part in what Hubby called a 'Macca Pacca' competition. In two teams-girls vs boys-we had to see who could pile up stones without them toppling over. It seems a number of people like to do the same as we've spotted many piles of stones along the beach over the summer.
We won with the most stones but the boys won for having the tallest structure. It was simple fun but we all got very competitive!
As we sat there one of the boys spotted something orange on the horizon and they were certain it was the lifeboat. I had no chance of seeing it clearly so had to use the zoom on my camera to take a photo and then zoom in on the photo on the display screen but they were spot on. Such good eyesight!

Sounds like you had a very fun day, I'll be trying the Macca Pacca stone game next time I'm at the beach
