Project 366 1st-5th June 2016

I had to work on Wednesday morning we wanted to get out in the afternoon so we downloaded a Treasure Trail and spent a pleasant couple of hours wandering around Aylsham solving a murder mystery. I had only been to Aylsham once before but didn't cover much of the town. I was surprised to find the grave of landscape gardener Humphry Repton here as I was unaware that he was a local. He was the designer of one of my favourite places in Norfolk-Sheringham Park.

We looked through our Spree book for inspiration for Thursday's activity. We had a voucher for pitch & putt at Fakenham Fairway, something the children hadn't done before. Despite being very cold and windy the children really enjoyed themselves and Harry has asked to go back every day since!

A drizzly day was forecast but we still wanted to get outdoors so I suggested Thetford Forest as it would be well sheltered. The children had a great time exploring all the different play areas and the boys slept well on the way home!

Hubby was adamant that today was going to be a warm and sunny day and because the children had spent all week wanting to go to a beach that's where we went. As we got closer to Wells next the Sea it became foggier and foggier! It was so cold that we only spent a few minutes on the beach and then we caught the Wells Harbour Railway back towards the car park.

Finally we had some sun! Yesterday afternoon while Charlie was at a party and Molly & I were at the cinema Hubby took Harry to a park to practise riding without his stabilisers. He nailed it within minutes and couldn't wait to return to the park today to show off his new found skills.
