Hello, hello from Harry Tumble! |
![]() |
The highlight of the weekend (certainly for Mummy!!) |
We were asked if we would like to review the latest issue of the Something Special magazine and it was a no-brainer where Harry was concerned!
The issue arrived with two fab Tumble gifts; a Mr Tumble bedtime puppet kit and an Explorer set. After posing for a photo Harry eagerly ripped them open and started making the puppet straightaway.
The magazine is jam-packed full of activities which support the Early Years and P Scales curriculum. There are things to spot, colour in, count, draw, make, discuss and Harry's absolute favourite activity-stickers. Throughout the magazine there are Makaton signs to teach your child, although Harry could probably teach me most of them without needing the guide.
A new feature of the magazine makes it interactive with the use of a tablet or phone. Download the Blippar app (free on iOS, Windows and Android) and scan the pages with the Blippar logo to access videos where you can see Mr Tumble & his friends, singalong to and sign Twinkle Twinkle and lots more.
Unfortunately the app wouldn't download to Harry's Kindle Fire tablet but it worked perfectly on his sister's phone and Daddy's iPad. It's really easy to use and he soon mastered it. We were very impressed with it.
The Something Special magazine has always had a big thumbs up from us but the interactive element adds so much more to it and Harry loved seeing the pages 'come to life'.
Issue 68 is out now for £3.99

*We were sent the magazine for the purposes of a review. All opinion is honest and based on our own experience of the product.
